FAQ
What types of fabrication does MPF Engineering specialise in?
MPF Engineering specialises in stainless steel and carbon steel fabrication for industrial and process applications. This includes pipe spooling, tanks, vessels, ducting, structural components, guards, and custom-engineered assemblies. Our workshop is equipped to handle both light and heavy fabrication work to exact project specifications.
Can MPF Engineering fabricate large or complex components in-house?
Yes. Our Tauranga-based workshop is purpose-built for complex fabrication projects and features a 5-ton overhead gantry crane, dedicated pipe spooling equipment, and tank rotators. This allows us to safely fabricate and assemble large-scale components, including tanks, vessels, and heavy pipe spools, before transport to site.
Do you offer both stainless steel and carbon steel fabrication?
Yes. MPF Engineering operates dedicated fabrication areas for both stainless steel and carbon steel. Stainless steel fabrication is carried out in our main workshop, while carbon steel fabrication, including structural components and pipe supports, is completed in our nearby lay-down yard to ensure efficiency and material separation.
How does MPF Engineering ensure quality during fabrication?
All fabrication work is completed under controlled workshop conditions and supported by Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), approved welding procedures, and qualified personnel. Where required, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and full quality documentation are provided to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
