Our Director - Jacob Ryburn
Jacob's career began early—at just 16 years old—in the small town of Whangamata, where he built mechanical agricultural equipment.
At 17, he moved to Tauranga and joined Page & Macrae, gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of industrial projects. This early exposure confirmed his passion for mechanical engineering, and after completing his apprenticeship in 2011, Jacob moved to Australia to further his career.
Over the following years, he worked across major projects including oil refinery turnarounds, natural gas pipelines, compressor stations, wellhead separators, and LNG production trains. He also contributed to the construction of iron ore and magnetite processing plants, delivering technical expertise on complex shutdowns and large-scale FIFO operations.
Since 2016, Jacob has been the Managing Director of MPF Engineering, where he brings a dynamic, solutions-focused approach to the New Zealand mechanical sector. Backed by years of practical experience and leadership in high-risk environments, he is committed to delivering quality outcomes and raising industry standards across every project.
