Our Team

Our highly regarded team are well conversed in running process and piping services both in stainless steel and carbon steel. We have ticketed welders for steam, compressed air and other high pressure services. We have experienced riggers capable for lifting the smallest to largest items of equipment, with appropriate care taken.

Jacob (Jaggs) established MPF Engineering in 2016. He has 14 years’ experience in fabrication and welding; including mining, oil and gas, heavy industries, pressure and pipe welding. When he’s not cracking the whip on the rest of the team, he enjoys a cold bevvy down at The Island (Local pub) and considers himself a bit of a pinball mastermind.

Caroline – the backbone of MPF. A wealth of knowledge. Caro’s brain is packed full of accounts, admin, health & safety protocol and loads more. Caroline moved to NZ from England 17 years ago. She’s an avid dog lover and rescuer. Heart of gold. She supports Tottenham Hotspur Football Club in the Premier League and loves a good Gin & Tonic.

Phil’s extensive experience in heavy industrial maintenance, shutdown planning, fabrication, and structural steel/construction, along with his trade qualifications in Heavy Automotive, make him a valuable asset for our business. His passion for motorsport will likely lead him to become a regular at our local Baypark Raceway.

Clifford is committed to pioneering research and the development of innovative products, E2E project management, ISO documentation control & QA/QC, and driving continuous improvement.
He takes on all challengers in badminton competitively, but with his daughters as line judges, it's more like a comedy show than a serious match.

With 26 years of experience in engineering, mechanical fitting, fabrication, and piping, Travis is a seasoned Diesel Fitter by trade. His diverse background spans various industries, including agriculture, abattoirs, pulp mills, feed mills, flour mills, soft drink factories, and cement factories.
Outside of work, Travis cherishes spending time with his soon-to-be wife and their four kids. He also enjoy BBQing, riding dirt and sports bikes, and hunting.

John is a long time engineer with over 19 years of experience in engineering around the North Island. He worked for various companies until he ‘saw the light’ and joined the team at MPF. John thinks outside of the box and has expanded his hand to boat building recently. An avid jet boater, when he’s not behind the welder, you’ll find him on the water or building another boat, with a cold beer in hand.

Cody has 5 years heavy fabrication experience ranging from repairing forestry machines to building construction waratahs. Cody is three quarters of the way in completing his apprenticeship. Cody, known as Codax to his mates, can be found hunting, fishing or on the lake wakeboarding with a cold Waikato in hand.

Steve - otherwise known as 'Stevo' has recently joined MPF as an apprentice. He has been working in the industry for two years and prior to that, he spent time working in the dairy industry. Steve enjoys hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. Steve was a natural choice for Health & Safety Representative as he is an excellent communicator and relationship builder and enjoys the responsibility that comes with the position. He is an asset to the team.

8 years experience in heavy fabrication, welding and mechanical fitting in various industries such as petrol and chemical, pulp and paper, power generation and food and dairy. When I'm not at work you will find me riding my mountain bike and enjoying a few cold beverages at the end of the ride.
